Lifetime memory-making adventure!
Wow! I've lived in Yellowknife for my entire life and this was the first time I've gone on a fishing trip to a lodge! I treated this as a birthday retreat getaway, and it was such a beautiful time to be out there in nature (fall time). The staff surprised me with decorating my cozy cabin (which I loved) and brought me a little birthday cake and birthday hat! What an enjoyable and memorable birthday! The fishing was incredible, at some points during my fishing excursions, the fish were biting non-stop! I appreciated the care and concern the guides had for the fish, ensuring the fish were handled carefully and released soon after they were taken out of water. I am not a big fisher, but it was enjoyable to be out on the water, in the fresh air, and seeing what is out there in the lake (a lot!!) I spent a lot of my time in retreat mode - walking the trails and picking cranberries, taking photographs of the beautiful landscape, reading books, relaxing in the sauna and splashing myself with cold lake water, and I even had a couple of naps! It was incredibly relaxing. The food was delicious and plentiful! I sure miss the deep-fried fish, mmmmm! As a solo traveler, I thoroughly enjoyed this experience and I would love to do it again... especially to share it with someone. Definitely a lifetime memory-making adventure! Thank you to all staff for doing what you do!

Trip of a lifetime
Just returned from another trip with lac la martre adventures i don't post many reviews but had to after this trip. Me and 5 other friends float planed into lake lac la marte for a 6 day guided trip with all meals and lodging provided. It all start with the setting up of trip with camp manager Zach brown. We booked this trip a year in advance zach is very easy to deal with and handles everything you need for the trip from dates to float plan, payments fishing details and any other questions u may have. He works tirelessly to make your trip what u want it to be. The cabins are clean and comfortable upgraded with plenty of hot water in showers. All meals are provide and are scratch cooked and delicious. Ladies in the kitchen were very pleasant and were accommodating to any needs you had for food requests. This is a very large lake with areas of open water with countless bays and islands to fish. The lake is absolutely stunning the remoteness and its beauty is breathtaking at times. Boats are sturdy and well maintained and great to fish out of. The fishing for pike and lake trout is nothing short of FANTASTIC. Our group caught hundreds of fish with everyone catching multiple master angler trout and pike. These fish are all released to be caught another day. The guides take extra special care to ensure the safe release of these fish so they are there to be caught in the future. The guides are all very knowledgeable and work very hard to ensure a safe and enjoyable trip on the water. I have been to multiple trips in Canada fishing this place by far is the best place I have been to for multiple reasons IF I could give a hundred star review I would we are already planning our return trip thank you lac la martre adventures.

Fishing and guides are spectacular!
Second time coming to Lac La Martre. First trip was 2019. Fishing is spectacular! What makes the experience so wonderful are the guides. We had same two guides from previous trip and one new one. They know the lake, entertaining, knowledgable and safe. Came back one evening in heavy winds and big waves. Adam knew what he was doing and kept us calm. Zach and Logan the other two guides were great! Zach has been guiding there for many years. He also is the manager. Keeps the place functioning at a high level. We will continue to come back if the guides continue to come back as well. Without the core team of guides this place can't continue as it has. The lodge is under new management. They are in charge from a distance which worries our group. Hopefully they will continue to let the team do their stuff and keep offering an exceptional fishery experience.

Lifetime Fishing Experience!
If you are looking for outstanding scenery, trophy fishing, and hospitable staff of guides, camp personnel, then Lac La Marte is for you! The lake is 1000 square miles in size. However, you will not see any other fisherman, NO camps, NO cottages, NO sailboats, etc. On our August 2023 trip my son and I have had 6 days of fabulous fishing for trophy Lake Trout and Northern Pike. This place is for real! GKing, (Montana)

Pike Paradise
We had 6 days in pure paradise. Fishing is fantastic and everyone and everything in and around the lodge makes you feel very welcome. A true wilderness experience. The scenery is awesome and if you can't get enough of hard pike strikes - this is THE PLACE! Room tip: Bring lots of Buster Jerks :-).

LLM is a one-of-a-kind Canadian fishing experience!
This is a very special place. Perfect mix of seclusion, amenities of home, and great fishing! Zack, Jesse, Moose the camp dog and Larry the camp cat do everything they can to make you feel welcome. The cook and shore staff keep you full and happy in camp and a troupe of stellar guides get you to, and keep you on, amazing NWT fish.

Great fishing. Good attentive guides and friendly staff. Many trophy nortthern pike. If you like catching lots of fish this is the place to go. Bringing an even larger group in 2025 to experience this great fishery.

Amazing fishing experience!
Unbelievable experience! Fished the second week in June 2023. Amazing fishing. Great guides, food, accommodations are a bit rustic, but you're only in your cabin to sleep. It doesn't get dark, and you can fish after dinner if you want. Every person there was a pleasure to meet and spend time with.
