Overview
Wolf Lake Wilderness Lodge is a single, family-owned and operated fishing lodge located on Wolf Lake in the Yukon Territory, roughly 100 to 110 air miles east of Whitehorse. The lodge is run by Todd and Shari Collins and has been operating since 1978, making it a long-established fixture in the region.
The operation consists of one lodge on Wolf Lake rather than a network of multiple camps, and the owners note that they are the only lodge on the lake, which limits fishing pressure on the water. The lodge advertises access to over 2,500 square miles of surrounding wilderness, with fishing extending beyond Wolf Lake itself to the Wolf River and nearby May Lake.
The business is positioned as an all-inclusive, full-service operation, with rates covering float plane transport from Whitehorse, meals, lodging, housekeeping, and use of boats, motors, and tackle. Guests can add a guide for an additional daily fee.

The Fishing
The lodge's primary target is trophy lake trout, along with Arctic grayling, northern pike, and whitefish. Wolf Lake itself is described as thirteen miles long, 2.5 miles wide, and 280 feet deep, with a thermocline at about 40 feet; guides generally fish the top 15 to 40 feet of water using light tackle rather than downriggers, which the lodge says makes fly fishing for lake trout more feasible than at many other lake trout fisheries. Anglers can troll flies on sink-tip line or cast dry flies for trout when conditions allow, and the lodge maintains a catch-and-release policy on the lake.
The lodge maintains walk-in trails to several additional lakes with boat/motor caches, enabling an additional level of wilderness experience on untouched lakes containing trophy pike and lake trout.
Accommodations
Guest lodging consists of four individual private cabins along with a main lodge building and a screened-in gazebo. Each cabin has a lake view, sleeps up to three people, includes a private washroom with hot running water, and is insulated with an oil furnace for cooler evenings; linens and towels are supplied and daily housekeeping is provided. Meals are served family style in the main lodge, which also has a common living area with seating, satellite television, and email access, while the gazebo serves as an additional gathering space for guests.

Getting There
Guests travel to the lodge from Whitehorse, Yukon, departing from the town's float plane base for a flight of roughly 45 minutes to an hour over mountain ranges and river valleys before landing at the dock on Wolf Lake. There is no road access to the lodge, and float plane transport from Whitehorse is included in the lodge's package rates.
