Great North Fishing Company operates a single fly-in outpost camp located on Sim Lake near Armstrong Station, in northwestern Ontario. The operation offers self-guided fishing trips targeting walleye, northern pike, and whitefish, as well as self-guided moose hunts in Wildlife Management Unit (WMU) 17.
The camp is positioned in the narrows between two lake basins on Sim Lake, and it is the only cabin on the lake. Guests fly in via NDK Air, based on McKenzie Lake Road approximately five minutes south of Armstrong Station. The outfitter is listed as part of Ontario's Superior Country tourism region.
Sim Lake is known for its walleye and northern pike populations. The lake features extensive shorelines with sharp breaks, numerous mid-lake islands, and countless bays with structural points that are suited to varied fishing approaches. Additional species present in the lake include whitefish, yellow perch, white sucker, and cisco (lake herring). All fishing is self-guided, with guests exploring the lake independently using the boats provided at camp.
The outpost cabin on Sim Lake is an eight-person facility equipped with solar lighting, a propane refrigerator and stove, hot and cold running water, an in-cabin shower, a BBQ, a fish fryer, and a large screened-in porch. The camp also provides Starlink satellite internet and Garmin inReach communication equipment. Guests bring their own groceries and cook for themselves under a housekeeping arrangement.

Guests fly in to Sim Lake with NDK Air, whose float plane base is located on McKenzie Lake Road, approximately five minutes south of Armstrong Station, Ontario. Armstrong Station is accessible by road via Highway 527, north of Thunder Bay. The staging town has limited internet service, so guests are advised to arrange fishing licenses before arriving.
